Intended results
Immediate publication of Review of System for setting nursing home prices under the Nursing Home Support Scheme.
Removal of healthcare assistant role from the Ineligible Categories of Employment for Employment Permits List on a controlled basis.
New and revised GP contract must recognise and resource GPs to meet regulatory requirements, obligations and the duties of GPs to meet the GP care needs of nursing home residents. Contract should be expedited.

Grassroots lobbying campaign regarding requirements to publish review of Fair Deal pricing mechanism, remove Healthcare Assistant role from from Ineligible Categories of Employment Listing and devise new GP contracts to adequately resource GPs to meet the GP care needs of nursing home residents. We encouraged our members to engage with their local TDs to lobby on the aforementioned issues ahead of the local elections.
