Intended results Department of Health would instruct the HSE to ensure that Service Level Agreements signed with disability service providers on an annual basis allocate 8-15% of their block grant to individualised, persons-centred, community-based models of support.

Meeting (1)

This meeting was a follow-up to correspondence with the Minister for Health Leo Varadkar in December 2014 and August 2015. Inclusion Ireland’s has previously communicated with the Minister that reforms underway in the disability area would be greatly aided by the ring-fencing of a percentage of the disability budget for individualised approaches. The meeting took place on Monday, 28th September in Hawkins House and was also attended by disability rights activist Donal Toolan.
