Intended results No increase in carbon tax on solid fuels for home heating in Budget 2019 Improve awareness and understanding of the social, environmental and fiscal issues relating to the supply, demand and consumption of solid fuel for home heating across Ireland. Event / Reception All Oireachtas Members Invitation to a briefing event on the morning of the 26th September 2018 in Dublin 2, by the Solid Fuel Trade Group (SFTG) about the dynamics of the solid fuel home heating market and the affect that a further increase in carbon tax on solid fuel, implemented through the Budget, would have in social, environmental and financial terms on society, the environment and the Exchequer. The SFTG asked the Oireachtas members who attended to lobby the Minister for Finance and Government against any such increase in carbon tax on solid fuel.

Email All Oireachtas Members An e-mail from the Solid Fuel Trade Group (SFTG) outlining the dynamics of the solid fuel home heating market and the affect that a further increase in carbon tax on solid fuel, implemented through the Budget, would have in social, environmental and financial terms on society, the environment and the Exchequer.
