Intended results To make representation to the Government of South Sudan condemning the attacks, the destruction of property, the interruption of humanitarian work and the further traumatising of the civilian population in Maban To see support among Ireland's EU colleagues in similarly drawing attention to and condemning the attacks To emphasise the importance of a priority UN response and a committment to enhancing engagement in the area to promote Irish and multi-lateral support for interventions to address the immediae needs of those in the refugee camps and develop the services that will secure their welfare and prevent a further spiral of famine, violence and displacement
