Meeting with members of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party to discuss Dublin Chamber's policy priorities on a broad range of issues.
Intended results
To communicate the concerns of Dublin's business community in relation to the implementation of the National Planning Framework and National Development Plan at Regional Authority and Metropolitan Area level.
To ensure that the National Planning Framework be kept on a statutory footing.
To secure political support for Dublin Chamber's infrastructure priorities in the Greater Dublin Dublin Area, specifically MetroLink, DART Expansion Programme, Shannon Pipeline, BusConnects, and housing development, and their prioritisation for funding in the National Development Plan.
To address the under-representation of Dublin in the Eastern & Midland Regional Assembly.
To ensure that the Metropolitan Area Strategic Plan for the Dublin region is only voted upon by elected representatives of the region concerned.
To secure support for a strong executive to drive MASP implementation and coordinate land use, housing, and transport development in the Dublin region.
To highlight the differential in tax competitiveness between Ireland and the UK ahead of Brexit.
To discuss greater participation of businesspeople in political life.
To discuss Dublin Chamber's priorities for Budget 2019.
