Specific Details There is a new Local Area Plan being drawn up for Maynooth. Myself and Fiona Gallagher were speaking to Cllr Mc Ginley regarding the content of this report. The town has a huge number of issues to which we coagulated on behalf of the public. These are 1) Traffic Issues. 2) Childcare and school facilities, 3) The construction of a Community Centre,4)The construction of a Swimming Pool, 5)A refurbished Health Centre, 6)A full time Garda Station,7)The future development of our Harbor Field

Intended results We wanted feedback to where the funds from Kildare County Council were being allocated. Maynooth is an ever developing town on the Dublin Commuter Belt and we are missing key piece's of infrastructure to deal with the influx of new families. Mr Mc Ginley was able to inform us that in the new LAP there is re-zoning of argr- land to zoned land for development. This Land will be for the new orbital road around Maynooth and will be developer lead as KCC do not have the funds to build this road.

We met Mr Ginley in The Glenroyal Hotel Lobby. We have had 2 emails to him presently and one was to invite him to a meeting and the other was his response. He asked us to look up a planning document to which Tesco had gotten as part of there stipulations when they built there new store that they would build a community centre. This hasn't happened and Mr Mr Ginley asked us to write a letter to The Director of Services in the Planning Dept of Kildare County Counci. Since his request a new community group have formed especially for the Community Centre so we have decided to leave this matter to them.
