What is the directive you gave to the grassroots campaigners? Childcare Professionals from the Lower Inchciore Area met in an interagency collaborative way and organised meetings to discuss, highlight and offer solutions to the issues impacting vulnerable children and families living in the Lower Inchciore Area.

The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Meeting (2-5)

We met at either Our Lady of Lourdes National School or Goldenbridge Nursery or Mercy Secondary School Inchicore. To discuss how we might replace/secure funding to restore resources lost during years of austerity. The DCYA was the most obvious Government Department whose main remit is families and children. A meeting with Officials in DYCA was organised, a Report was sent into Minister Katherine Zappone outlining the issues, the challenges and the solutions to the problems. A visit my Minister Zappone occurred in March 2018 where a selection of the Childcare Professional Group highlighted and discussed issues and solutions to help alleviate problems of under resourced services available to underprivileged vulnerable children living in the area.
