Intended results That the European Commission does not increase its beef offer in the Mercosur Trade Negotiations. That the European Commission does not agree to a Mercosur deal involving a major increase in substantial beef imports form Brazil at the same time as we face into the serious challenges of Brexit. To highlight the impact of Brexit on the beef sector. To highlight a bad Mercosur/EU trade deal and the failures of Brazil and other Latin American countries to meet EU standards on imports. To highlight the negative impact for Irish beef farmers.
