Minister Naughten and Taoiseach Varadkar were tagged in tweets from Friends of the Earth and Oisin Coghlan related to the public consultation and the intended outcome to include support for community owned renewable energy and microgeneration in the renewable electricity support scheme. Members of the public were encouraged to make submissions to the public consultation through twitter and facebook posts.
