Specific Details Science for Development Seminar in advance of AU/EU Summit

Intended results Examining policy options to support science capacity building in Africa to address the global challenges identified in the SDGs how an enabling policy and regulatory environment can be promoted which will facilitate the sharing of knowledge between practitioners in Europe and Africa. Consider policy issues around Big Data, Space, Agriculture and Food Security, and how Africa and Europe can cooperate. Comprehensive policies on food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture (FNSSA) are pivotal to realisation of the goals of Africa’s transformative agenda. Showcase Irish leadership in the above fields through the work of University College Dublin (Food and Security) and Trinity College (Big Data)
