Invitations were issued to Ministers Richard Bruton and Mary Mitchell O'Connor to present awards for the top Leaving Certificate physics students at an IOP Ireland awards event in December 2018. Information about the uptake of physics in schools was also sent. Neither minister was able to attend. An invitation to attend the event was also sent to Aidan Farrell, CEO State Examinations Commission and to all TDs.
