Intended results in order for the Coalition to be an effective partner with your Government over the next 13 years, it needs to be given the capacity to engage, in a coordinated fashion, in the necessary processes that will enable this movement towards a more sustainable Ireland.

Dear Taoiseach We write to you on behalf of the more than 100 civil society organisations and networks across the social inclusion, development, environmental and trade union sectors that make up Coalition 2030. We are committed to working together with other sectors and with the Government in order to ensure that Ireland delivers on its responsibilities regarding all the 17 UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. It is clear that the goals can only be achieved through strong cooperation between Government and wider civil society. In this regard, the rapidly growing membership of Coalition 2030 represents a significant swathe of Ireland’s civil society and as such wishes to be at the forefront of that cooperation. Whilst a few of our members have received financial support for targeted sectoral work regarding the SDGs, most are stretching their already limited resources to proactively promote the Goals.
