Meeting (1)

Meeting with Minister David Stanton to discuss benefits of a community refugee sponsorship programme, potential approaches and how it has been achieved elsewhere, e.g. in Canada and the UK.

Event / Reception (2-5)

Joint lobby meeting with other Irish NGOs and Canadian representatives from the Global Refugee Sponsorship Initiative outlining potential positives of community refugee sponsorship. Minister David Stanton in attendance. Attended Fianna Fail & Sinn Fein ardfheiseannas in October and November (respectively). Spoke to multiple TDs and Senators about asking for their support for community refugee sponsorship in Ireland.
