Completion of first phase of negotiations to allow negotiators to move to pivotal second phase on future relationship between the EU and UK.
Advancement of business positions on cyber-security, data economy, ePrivacy and implementation of the General Data Protection regulation (GDPR).
Re-enforce principle that all taxation proposals, including for the digital economy, are agreed internationally through the OECD, taking account of the outcomes of the BEPS project.
The EU remaining an open and attractive location for foreign direct investment (FDI) whilst continuing to play a leadership role as the global advocate of fair and rules-based trade.
Ensure that EU FTAs stand on their own merits and achieve the correct balance in terms of offering access to the internal market for sensitive sectors, such as beef and dairy impacted by Brexit.
