The Irish Computer Society, under the auspices of its social enterprise arm, ICS Foundation, has been invited by CEPIS (Council of Professional Informatics Societies) to establish a National Coalition for Ireland. We believe that this is an important time to establish a consortium of relevant partners to synchronise efforts at national level towards bridging the ICT skills gap. The establishment of this multi-stakeholder partnership would also promote current national activities at European level and open Ireland to the exchange of best practice with existing National Coalitions in other member countries.
