Specific Details Meeting with Minister Finian McGrath to highlight some of Epilepsy Ireland’s key advocacy issues including free travel for people with epilepsy; reasonable accommodations for state exams; and funding for Section 39 organisations.

Intended results To inform the Minister and seek his support for Epilepsy Ireland objectives including: the provision of free travel for people with epilepsy who would be refused a drivers licence on account of their epilepsy; the need to conduct a full review of the Dept of Education’s RACE Scheme for state exams; and other relevant issues such as epilepsy specialist nursing, developments on the epilepsy drug sodium valproate and Section 39 funding.
