IWEA sought a meeting with Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen following the announcement that his party intended to produce new legislation, or amending legislation, on the issue of commercial rates. IWEA outlined a number of issues regarding the application of rates and ongoing reviews by the Valuation Office in this area as they pertain to operational wind farms in Ireland.
