Meeting (1)

Cork City FC Chairman Pat Lyons and FAI CEO John Delaney met Minister Simon Coveney to present the case for part-funding of this project by government. Mr. Delaney explained to the Minster that the FAI are committing €5 million to the project, which is estimated to cost, in total, approximately €11.4 million, of which €1.4 million will be VAT. It was further explained to the Minster that the project was for the benefit of the wider community, including the coaching and development of young payers, officials, and referee for the wider Munster area and will thus have a beneficial impact on physical and mental health.
