Specific Details Development of a targeted, place-based SME Competitiveness and Resilience Programme for Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown.

Intended results To secure Government support for a place-based SME Competitiveness and Resilience pilot in DLR, using local economic intelligence to target sectors and locations experiencing business pressure. The programme would complement existing supports through targeted productivity, digitalisation, energy efficiency, mentoring and resilience interventions, with potential for wider national application.

DLR Chamber's Bespoke Locale Report 2026 identifies 160 visibly stressed trading-SME sites, particularly in Beauty & Personal Care, Retail and Food & Hospitality, with concentrations around the Sandyford employment belt, Blackrock corridor and Cabinteely-Carrickmines retail-park arc. The report recommends targeted, place-based intervention.

Event / Reception (1)

Event held on the 12th May in Mercedes-Benz South Dublin to launch the report. All Government local representatives and Councillors were inviteded to attend with the Business Community. Minister Jack Chambers was our key note speaker
