Specific Details Letter to relevant Ministers urging Ireland to oppose and reject the European Commission’s Food and Feed Safety Omnibus proposal, on the grounds that it would weaken EU pesticide legislation, reduce regular review of pesticide active substances, extend grace periods for hazardous substances, broaden derogations, and undermine protection of health, food safety and the environment.

Intended results To secure Ireland’s opposition to and rejection of the European Commission’s Food and Feed Safety Omnibus proposal, and to protect existing EU pesticide safeguards for human health, animal health, food safety and the environment.
