Specific Details Participation of the Head of R&D and Health Analytics from the Department of Health in a panel discussion at the November Irish Health Research Forum. The topic of the panel discussion was 'How do we make a career in research more attractive to our best and brightest?'

Intended results The panel discussions at these Forums aim to represent a wide range of expertise and opinions. It was important to have the Dept of Health represented and get an insight into their future plans for research careers.

Event / Reception (31-50)

The November IHRF was held in the Gibson hotel with approximately 50 people in attendance. Attendees represented a wide range of backgrounds including funding institutions, Government Bodies, Charities, Industry and Researchers. The panel was one part of the event with each panellist discussing their area of expertise and participating in a Q & A session.
