Specific Details Visit to a Fold Housing development (New Dolphin Park) on 8th April 2026 by staff and councillors from Carlow County Council who wanted to visit an example of age friendly housing in Dublin.

Intended results To show an example of an age friendly housing development as requested by Carlow Co. Co. On 25 Feb 2026, Tina Donaghy, Director of Development & New Business received a text from Coilin O’Reilly, Chief Executive, Carlow Co. Co. advising that they are continuing to develop their age friendly town centre concept for Carlow Town and requesting a visit for Carlow Co. Councillors and staff to the Fold Housing scheme at New Dolphin Park. The visit was facilitated by Fold Housing.

Fold Housing attendees included Kath Cottier, Chief Executive; Tina Donaghy, Director of Development & New Business; Ger English, Development Manager; Susan Taylor, Senior Development Officer; Alex Mott, Housing Officer. At the site visit Fold received copies of Carlow CC proposals for their Age Friendly housing and they invited Fold to come down to the Council and visit the sites. Date to be arranged.

There were a number of emails between Fold Housing and Carlow Co. Co. to determine numbers who would be attending. The visit consisted of a tour of the development, visits to some of the apartments and lunch at the on site cafe.
