Intended results 1. County Councils should be enabled and encouraged to allocate 50% of funding made available from ZEVI, to support suitable “shovel ready” sites that offer public parking to have chargers installed. Suitable locations should be supported on a first come first served basis. 2. ESBN should be empowered and advised to ensure that any charger being deployed can be supported with a standalone battery back-up. This will reduce pressure on the already stressed grid by utilising battery storage.
