Intended results To arrange a meeting on behalf of Medicines For Ireland (MFI) with the Minister of Health, Jennifer Carol MacNeill to discuss and defer the implementation of the UWWTD in it's current format. MFI believe that this Directive will have a severe negative impact on patient access to critical and essential generic medicines.

Event / Reception (1)

Briefly met the Minister of Health Jennifer Carrol MacNeill at the Celebration of Women in Leadership event on March 27th 2025. Jacky Byrne (Private Secretary) was also in attendance. The encounter was followed up with a letter to Jacky Byrne requesting a formal meeting for Medicines for Ireland (MFI) to engage directly with the Minister to outline the far-reaching implications of the UWWTD from a patient and manufacturing implication perspective.
