Specific Details To advance the drafting and enactment of the Gambling Control Bill 2013 into legislation

Intended results On the basis that current legislation (Betting Act 1931 & the Gaming & Lotteries Act 1956) has been rendered no longer fit purpose with the advent of the internet as a distribution channel for all forms of gambling services, we would like the Gambling Control Bill 2013 drafted and enacted into legislation by the Government as a matter of priority. We believe that the establishment of a regulatory authority is necessary in order to ensure that proper consumer protections are put in place.
