The future of rural tourism and in particular its’ main driver i.e. the short-term rental is under severe threat at present and the window for effective change is rather brief , hence this email to yourself. Asking for the ISCF proposals for inclusion in the Programme for Government, and protect local economies and communities to be incorporated in the Bill for STR.

The Irish Self-Catering Federation (ISCF) has said there is an “urgent" need for consultation with the industry
as the government moves towards creating a register for all Short-Term-Rental properties by April of 2026.
