The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Meeting (1)

November 2016 (Galway) Launch of the Ireland Heart Failure Barometer report by Minister Kyne. A new Irish policy report on Heart Failure in Ireland. The report was written by the Health Policy Partnership. Also contributing to the content of the report were: cardiologists, people with heart failure, heart failure Clinical Nurse Specialists and general practitioners. With input from the Heartbeat Trust and Croi, supported by Novartis. Report recommendations: 1) Explicitly mention HF within existing chronic disease policies and ensure there are sufficient resources to implement the National Clinical Program for HF 2) Ensure that patients with symptoms of HF are diagnosed earlier and without delay 3) Create a coordinated national program linking hospital and community care 4) Support a national HF prevention program

Meeting (1)

Support for heart failure at a European level (HF Declaration at the EU parliament). Attend the launch of the HF Declaration at the EU parliament.
