Specific Details Edwards Priority Review Project is about streamlining the authorisation of medical devices in the EU. Due to the complexities of the Medical Devices Regulation, patients in the EU face long waiting times and EU is facing shortages of Medical Devices.

Intended results The work RPP Group is doing with Edwards is to streamline the process with a "Priority Review" mechanism (only for the most innovative medical devices), which would follow the example of PRIME mechanism for medicines.
