Intended results Following request to meet with Minister Ross and Tanaiste Fitzgerald, MIBI was asked to provide their perspective on road safety issues in the context of the delivery of a number of important actions contained in the Road Safety Strategy 2013 to 2020. The MIBI also stressed the importance of the proposed ANPR system and the need to further strengthen the planned initiative. Reform of the insurance compensation framework in light of the the Setanta case was also discussed.
