Intended results To secure information on whether or not the Department will issue an invitation to tender for the continuation of court reporting of child care proceedings. And if yes, the timeline involved. To secure a change to the relevant Regulation to remedy the challenge that the Child Law Project does not have legal standing to apply to conduct court reporting in its own right.

Meeting (1)

Following a request in our letter of 19 December 2023, the Chair, Executive Director and CEO of Child Law Project met on 26 March with Minister O'Gorman and one official in his Department's office.

Submission (1)

On 15 February, we submitted by email a memo to the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth on the status of CCLRP CLG (Child Law Project) to apply to engage in court reporting.
