Intended results Wanted the Committees the Deputy chairs on to examine SDG progress, prepare a report on same, and introduce a motion to the Dáil on the report. This was a process carried out by the Committee on Social Protection and therefore there is precedence.

We wanted the Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Committee on Disability Matters, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence and the Committee on Environment and Climate Action - can all follow in the footsteps of JCSPCRDI by: Examining their shadow departments’ SDG progress Preparing a report on their shadow departments’ SDG progress and recommendations to improve SDG target delivery Bringing a motion before the Dáil to allow for debate on the report
