Specific Details Members of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters visited the National Learning Network in Ballyfermot on 14 February

Intended results To raise awareness and secure political support for the work of National Learning Network in providing essential support and pathways towards further education, training and employment for people with disabilities. To highlight to members of the committee the funding challenges faced by NLN and find a solution that will provide a sustainable funding model and secure the future of NLN.

Meeting (1)

A delegation of the Disability Matters Committee visited NLN, Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10. The Clerk to the Committee, Mairead O’Donovan and Policy Adviser, Brenda Mc Cauley, from the Secretariat to the Committee, accompanied the delegation.

NLN provided the Committee with a full presentation outlining their work, their achievements and current funding challenges
