Intended results 3Ts identify a need for a more a co-ordinated approach to mental health & suicide prevention & propose a Suicide Prevention Authority based on a Road Safety Authority model to achieve this. This independent entity would co-ordinate education & awareness, service provision, infrastructure, research, regulation & enforcement, fiscal, partnerships & innovations. 3ts propose Draft Suicide Authority Bill to support this proposal. Proposed Bill was drafted by M O'Driscoll BL. 3ts seek Sinn Fein support for establishment of Suicide Authority / Entity and Noel Smyth of 3Ts requested meeting with Ms McDonald to further discuss.
