Specific Details IASLT submitted a PreBudget Submission to the Department of Finance in advance of this years Budget. Within this pre budget submission we call for the following: 1. Significant investment in the Speech and Language Therapy workforce 2. SLT - Videofluoroscopy Swallow Study 3. Sláintecare priorities - Communication and Swallowing

Intended results Strategic investment in the speech and language therapy workforce. Commissioning & action a workforce planning and intelligence report. Amend legislation whereby Speech & Language Therapists are included on the list of ‘referrers’ entitled to refer individuals for medical radiological / ionising radiation procedures in Statutory Instrument (SI) 256/2018 EU. further development of speech & language therapy in Adult Mental Health Services (AMHs).
