Specific Details The Irish Association of Funeral Directors have met with Minister Simon Harris T.D. on October 19th 2016 with a view to raising the profile of the organisation, hospital deaths, consideration of the previous bereavement grant and infectious disease awareness among other issues.

Intended results That the IAFD remain the foremost authority on Funeral Service in Ireland, reinstatement of the bereavement grant will be considered again, all deaths will carry a simple notification regarding the possibility of infection
