Pre budget submission to Minister McGrath and Donohoe. Government do not kill off vaping, a major contributor to tobacco harm reduction, with excise taxes. This will discourage smokers from switching from cigarettes It will lead to a negative impact on the Government’s Tobacco Free Ireland campaign and put pressure on the health service to care for tobacco related illnesses. Vaping is not smoking; Cochrane found that vaping products are 70% more effective than nicotine replacement therapy.
