Specific Details Anne Cleary of Ability West wrote to Minister Anne Rabbitte requesting a meeting to discuss possible supports in relation to a service user whose family received an eviction notice from a private landlord and have to vacate their home after 14 years in residence. The landlord has indicated that he is willing to sell the house to Galway City Council, however, the two parties cannot agree a price.

Intended results Galway City Council will purchase the house and rent back to this family. Thus they will not have to move and the uncertainty of his liviing situation will be resolved and the service users will no longer feel anxious re same.
