Informal communication (1)

Meeting with Minister John Halligan to brief him on the IEPA and the possible negative impact of continuing late timelines between receipt of final specification from the Department of Education and Skills and publication date requirements. It has been reduced from the established 18 month period to less than 5 months in relation to Junior Certificate Irish/Gaeilge. The draft specification has not yet been received less than five months before teachers will be seeking copies of the books in particular for the School Book Rental Scheme Administrators.
