On February 17th 2023 a letter was sent to Minister Anne Rabbitte, Minister Roderic O'Gorman and Special Advisor Noel Byrne asking for a meeting to discuss the key challenges posing an immediate risk to the sustainability of services - key amongst which is recruitment and retention. The National Federation's position paper entitled 'Recruitment and Retention Crisis in Intellectual Disability Services - January 2023' accompanied this letter.
