Specific Details Launch by An Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD of our new Statement of Strategic Intent

Intended results To have the Taoiseach address our membership directly at the launch of our new plan which is our Statement of Strategic Intent 2021-2023 which aims to guide the work of our Institution over the next three years. To hear also the views of An Taoiseach relating to issues of concern to him and the role as he sees, of the engineering community in delivering on the ambitions of the National Development Plan, (revised), the National Recovery Plan and Project Ireland 2040. For An Taoiseach to hear the strategic approach that will be taken by our Institution in the months and years ahead and on the importance of the profession to Ireland and the relevance of having a strong talent pipeline of engineers into the future.

Email contact was made by way of invitation to An Taoiseach to launch our new Statement of Strategic Intent 2021- 2023.

Event / Reception (1)

An online event took place, open to our wide membership and also to invited guests on 18 January 2021 with the Taoiseach as our special guest. An Taoiseach addressed our members live from Government Buildings. Note the reference to Mr Buckley above. Mr Buckley is also our President for the 2020-2021 session and he would have spoken at the event outlining some of the priorities of our Institution and the role that engineers working across the spectrum of engineering, can make to our society. Our new Statement of Strategic Intent is available on our website www.engineersireland.ie
