Intended results A local Councillor in Cork who is also a noted historian has been asked to speak at our Cork Regional Branch's event in February 2021 about the history of the recently refurbished 'Shakey Bridge' in Cork, as part of our Cork Region's 80th Anniversary celebrations.

To have Cllr McCarthy speak to our members on the history of the 'Shakey Bridge' Cork, which spans the River Lee, in his capacity as a noted local historian. Bridges are of keen interest to our civil and structural member-engineers. The invite by email to Mr McCarthy issued in Dec 2020.
