Specific Details Public meeting on issues impacting Sandyford with local candidates for the 2020 General Election

Intended results To provide an opportunity for community members of the Sandyford Business District to find out what the 2020 general election candidates’ visions were for our area and what they plan to do with their mandate in the next Dáil. Also to provide an opportunity for questions to be asked of the candidates by people attending the event.

Event / Reception (1)

Your Vote, Your District Sandyford Business District hosted a hustings event on Monday February 3rd at Nord Anglia International School, Building 2, South County Business Park, Leopardstown. The event was held from 07:30 - 09:15 and election candidates from our area were invited to attend. Former RTE political correspondent and communications expert, Martina Fitzgerald, moderated a panel discussion with the election candidates. Key topics for discussion were Infrastructure, Planning, Sustainability, Economic Policy and Housing. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to find out what the candidates' visions were for our area and what they planned to do with their mandate in the next Dáil. There was also an opportunity for questions to be asked of the candidates by people attending the event.
