Intended results Build awareness of Social Enterprise by creating a minister for soical enterprise with responsility for implementing and expanding the social enterprise policy. Roll out a national awareness strategy around social enterprise Growing and strengthening Social Enterprise, consolidating and clarifying government funding available to social enterprises Analyse gaps in funding needs for social enterprises and make new funding available as appropriate Explore/stimulate a social investment market for scaling social enterprises Introduce legislation to consider social and environmental value in public sector commissioning (and train social enterprises accordingly) Consider social and environmental value in public investmenst (i.e. expand and increase rigour on ISIF double bottome line / pension investment) Achieving better policy alignment by convening annual conferences in key social enterprise sectors (health, education, climate, houseing & homelessness, rural and community affairs) to discuss how government and organisations in the sector interact to achieve the greatest collective impact.
