A briefing was sent via email on June 10th to members of the Joint Committee on Climate Action. The Committee were due to discuss the Climate Emergency Measures Bill. We urged them to let debate proceed in the Dail on the Climate Emergency Measures Bill. In our briefing, we:
Set out how Stop Climate Chaos thinks Committee members can best use this meeting of the Joint Committee.
Provide background to the process leading up to the current blockage and issues raised.
Provide suggestions for points and questions members of the Committee could raise with the Minister for Climate Action.

An email was sent on June 25th to select members of the Oireachtas asking them to please prioritise attendance at a briefing to hear a Legal Opinion in relation to the request from the Government for a money message for the Petroleum and other Minerals Development (Amendment) (Climate Emergency Measures) Bill 2018.

A email was sent on May 15th requesting the opportunity to meet to discuss the progression of the Climate Emergency Measures Bill through the Dail. Requests to meet were sent to Deputy Eamon Ryan, Deputy Stanley, Deputy Lawless, and Deputy Dooley.
Meeting (1)
A meeting was held with Deputy James Lawless on June 6th. The meeting took place in Leinster House, and the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progression of the Climate Emergency Measures Bill through the Dail, and to discuss possible amendment options to the Bill in advance of a meeting of the Committee on Communications, Climate Action and Environment.
