At the Association of Farm & Forestry Contractors in Ireland (FCI) we are concerned that many of our members are being visited for valuation assessments as farm/agricultural contractors where all of their activities relate to agriculture, working on behalf of farmers in a cost-effective way and providing much-needed employment in a rural service setting. Some are also land owners in their own right, and in that situation they are entitled to operate an agricultural contractor service from their farmyards.
