Specific Details The INOU lead a delegation from the Community and Voluntary Pillar that met with Minister for Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform Paschal Donohue and Minister of State Michael D'Arcy to discuss Budget 2018 and its need to address income adequacy and the development of properly resourced and inclusive person centred public and social services.

Intended results To secure a more equitable and inclusive Budgetary process and address the social and economic exclusion facing so many unemployed people.

Meeting (1)

The INOU's Pre-Budget submission had been sent to the Minister for Finanace, Public Expenditure and Reform, Pascal Donohoe TD and the organisation used the meeting to urge the Minister to address the issues of income adequacy facing so many unemployed people and others of working age struggling to manage on a social welfare payment. The INOU also sent on behalf of the Community and Voluntary Pillar the document prepared for the National Economic Dialogue held at the end of June.
