Royal London (Ireland) believes the Irish public are being negatively impacted by the length and complexity of the probate system in Ireland, and that this is having a direct impact on the financial position of beneficiaries who are primary dependants of the deceased. It has created a position paper which presents an insight into the current workings of probate services in both the UK and Ireland which provides a comparative analysis between the two jurisdictions and identifies five key recommendations for change for the Irish probate system. Royal London (Ireland) is calling on the Government and the Reform and Development Directorate to consider our proposals for improvements which are aimed at increasing efficiency and speeding up of the probate system.
