Specific Details Emailed a letter to the Deputy John Paul O’Shea, Chair of the Joint Committee on Social Protection, Rural and Community Development requesting that they hold a meeting on Poverty on the week of the 17th October UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Intended results There was a positive reply to this request and the Platform was invited to attend a meeting of the Joint Committee which took place on the 15th October.
