the EAI wrote to express concerns about the delays in transposing the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and the EEOS Statutory Instrument (S.I.). Under the Recast EED, obligated parties (OPs) face an annual increase from 662 GWh to 877 GWh—an additional 215 GWh, or more than 32%. Such a substantial rise will pose a considerable challenge for all OPs to achieve.EAI urged that the S.I. be signed and implemented before year-end to avoid disruption and safeguard progress toward our shared goals.
