Intended results To continue to influence Ireland’s foreign policy so that Ireland commits to joining the Hague Group and adopts the Hague Group measures aimed at preventing and ending genocide. These include ending arms transfers, halting military transit, enforcing shipping controls, cutting state support for occupation, and supporting investigations and prosecutions for international crimes.

What is the directive you gave to the grassroots campaigners? Grassroots public mobilisation formed a central part of the campaign. Civil society organisations were invited to endorse the campaign by signing an open letter, sharing it publicly through their own networks, and attending the hand-in. Members of the public were invited to sign a petition and were encouraged to take individual civic action by contacting their local TDs using an online email tool, calling on Ireland to join the Hague Group and to support its proposed measures.
